FAQ
Is there a free tier?
5 free standard scrapes when you sign up. No card required. Other actions use their published endpoint pricing.
How does billing work?
Top up your wallet with a minimum of $5. Each request deducts from your balance. When it's low, top up again. No auto-billing, no surprises.
Do balances expire?
No. Your balance is yours forever. Don't use FairCrawl for a year? Your money is still there.
What if a request fails?
You only pay for successful requests. If a scrape returns 404 or a research query returns no results, you're not charged.
Is there rate limiting?
Yes. Every authenticated response publishes X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, and X-RateLimit-Reset so clients can pace requests without guessing.
What can change a scrape's final price?
Direct fetch and Playwright use the current standard or volume rate. Opt-in large responses and costlier Cloudflare or residential methods can cost more. The response always reports the method and exact settled cost in _meta; failed requests cost $0.
Do volume discounts kick in?
Yes. $0.0007 per page until you cross $100 month-to-date, then $0.0005 per page. Cross $500 MTD and it's $0.0004 per page. Tiers reset monthly. No commitment to hit any tier.
What does a research call cost?
$0.007 per successful query. The first three successful base actions per authenticated user are free. Synthesis is included; successful enrichment pages are billed separately at the canonical scrape rate. Failures, no results, and failed enrichment pages cost $0.
Can I get a custom plan?
No. Custom plans are how vendors charge enterprises 10x more for the same product. Everyone pays the same per-unit price.
